Pressure cook chana dal until very soft. Drain completely and mash smooth.

Cook mashed dal with jaggery on low heat, stirring until mixture thickens and leaves sides of pan. Add cardamom and nutmeg.

Knead wheat flour with oil and water into a soft dough. Rest 30 minutes.

Make a small disc of dough, place a ball of puran in centre, seal and roll out gently.

Cook on a tawa on medium heat with ghee on both sides until golden. Serve warm with more ghee.
